Safe Dog Handling

• Never walk away from a dog in the grooming tub or grooming table. Always be within arms reach

• Always secure a dog to the grooming tub and grooming table

• Never reach into a kennel to grab a dog

• Never grab a dog’s collar

  • Use fencing or a leash to guide

• Never get in-between two dogs fighting

  • Yell, make loud noises, put fencing/objects in-between them

• Do not carry dogs unless assisting into tub or grooming table

• Do not yell at the dogs or yell a dog’s name unless breaking up a fight

• Never message a pawrent without checking with the manager
