What to Expect with Dog Daycare

When your dog joins daycare at Companion Acres, you can expect a balanced day built around safety, structure, and fun.

  • 6:15 – 11:00 AM — Daily activity + playtime rotations (indoor & outdoor)

  • 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM — Lunch time for pups + rotations

  • 12:00 – 2:00 PM — Nap time + Add on services

  • 2:00 – 4:00 PM — Playtime rotations (indoor & outdoor)

  • 4:00 – 7:30 PM — Pick-ups, dinner, and playtime rotations (indoor & outdoor)

    Any time you drop your dog off with us, you have the option to add on grooming services. Let your pup enjoy a full day of play, then pick them up clean, fresh, and feeling their best. This add-on is an easy way to check grooming off your to-do list while your dog is already having fun.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dog Daycare With Us in Rochester, MN

New Client Inquiry

  • We require pups to have up to date Rabies, Bordatella, and DHLPP (Distemper) vaccines.

  • Monday-Friday: 6:15am-7:30pm

    Saturday-Sunday: 8am-6pm

    We do not have specific drop off and pick up times within our operating hours. This and our pick up/drop off by appointment service (picking up outside of hours) allows you to have a flexible schedule for both you and your pup!

  • We don’t offer half day prices, however our open and flexible pick and up drop off hours allows you to make your own flexible schedule.

  • A day of dog daycare at Companion Acres includes:

    • Supervised, structured play in small, thoughtfully matched playgroups

    • Indoor and outdoor playtime rotations

    • Built-in rest and nap periods

    • Daily enrichment activities

    • Fresh water and a comfortable space to relax

    • Mealtime care, if needed

    Your dog’s day is designed to be balanced, engaging, and supportive—so they head home happy, relaxed, and ready to rest.

  • For your dog’s first day, please bring:

    • Any food your dog needs if they eat meals during daycare

    • Clearly labeled items, if applicable

    • A copy of your dog’s up-to-date vaccination records (if not already on file)

    We provide beds, water, toys, and enrichment items, so there’s no need to bring personal bedding or toys unless otherwise discussed with our team.

  • A pod is the space the groups stay in while inside. The groups are anywhere between 1-6 dogs per pod. Each pod has cots and water bowls to ensure comfort all day!

  • Yes! Every weekday at Companion Acres includes a daily enrichment activity designed to keep dogs mentally engaged, not just physically active. Activities rotate and may include treat testing, themed toy play, simple art projects, or sensory experiences. Enrichment is always age- and temperament-appropriate and balanced with rest so dogs don’t become overstimulated.

  • To get started, please complete our New Client Inquiry Form. Once submitted, our team will reach out to gather any additional details and make sure Companion Acres is a good fit for you and your dog.

    We’ll also ask for a copy of your dog’s veterinary records to confirm all required vaccinations are up to date.

    Once approved, you’ll receive access to our booking app, where you can easily schedule dog daycare.
