Policies

Dress Code

  • Dress in as much black or dark clothing as possible.

  • Wear weather appropriate clothing.

  • Maintain a positive appearance.

  • Shorts and open-toed shoes are not permitted.

  • Earbuds and headphones are not permitted during a CA shift.


Confidentiality Agreement

All client names, phone numbers, addresses, emails, passwords/key codes, and other information will be kept confidential between Companion Business Manager and Companion Acres Handler.

  • All pictures and videos taken at CA and on a CA shift are property of Companion Acres.

    • Any use of pictures and/or videos are subject to cease and desist claims.

Vacation Time

  • Needs to be notified at least 2 weeks in advance, logged in the Days Off Sheet, and communicated to team liaison.

  • Employment with CA will be reviewed if more than 3 weeks of continuous time is taken off.

  • As a part-time employee there is no paid time off or vacation.


Sick Days/

Inclement Weather

Sick Days - You are responsible for reaching out/texting other staff within your position/job role to cover your shift. Once you have found another employee to cover your shift, please notify team liaison of the switch.

You will acquire ESST per MN state laws.  1 hour for every 30 hours worked.  A total of 80 hours can accrue and roll over from year to year.

Inclement Weather - You are responsible for reaching out/texting other staff within your position/job role to cover your shift. Notify team liason with AS MUCH advance as possible if unable to arrive for your shift, if you cannot find anyone to cover the shift the liason might be able to assist in finding a replacement.



Reasons for Termination

Termination will occur after three documented ‘Reasons for Termination”:

  • Arriving for a shift under the influence of drugs or alcohol

  • Handling a dog in any way other than trained by CA management

  • Breaching the confidentiality agreement 

  • Arriving late for a scheduled shift at CA in an excessive amount

  • Calling in for a scheduled shift in an excessive amount

  • Excessive use of personal cell phone during a scheduled CA shift 

  • Neglecting daily routines of CA

  • Neglecting to attend to personal odor or hygiene

REQUIREMENTS AFTER TERMINATION  

  • Return any and all Companion Acres Property
